Beat Production
Welcome to the beat production side, this is an introduction into the keyboard melody, down south, east coast type feel of beat production.
The 32 bar composition is a breakdown of 4 8 bar comps/beats, created by myself in Logic Pro. The tempo is at 88 bpm, give it a minor chill/slow vibe. The vibe I felt while creating this comp is more of an East Coast Feel. Myself being from Texas, I was not aiming for that vibe, but overall pleased with the outcome.
The C minor key is the key used throughout this composition. The "harmony" is the first sound being used in this key. After the harmony is discovered, I begin creating a melody & Synth sound from the harmony's build.
During the mixing process I applied the skills I learned during my class of "Recording Sequencing". Here is where I used my faders to adjust the volumes to the appropriate settings. The "pan" is used on certain sounds to give the feel of sounds coming in at different directions (left & right). I then used an EQ to drown out unnecessary noise or unused space coming out on the wave form of the sound.
